CBD Dosing Guide
There are so many methods of consuming or applying CBD newcomers often wonder where to start, and that’s a fair question.
Topicals – creams and salves – are typically used “as needed” for targeted relief of aches and pains. Capsules and edibles are pre-dosed by unit. typically consumed one in the morning and one at night depending on the severity of the condition being treated and the sensitivity of an individuals endocannibinoid system.
It can be more difficult determining the dosage of oils and tinctures taken sublingually because it depends on the concentration of CBD per ounce of liquid. This chart will help you determine how much you’re getting in each 1ml dropper depending on the concentration you have purchased.
The oft-given advice of ‘start low, go slow’ makes a lot of sense if you’re new to any natural supplement, but what’s the right daily dosage of CBD for you?
A good rule of thumb for preparations taken orally is to start with 1-6MG of CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight, depending on the severity of the condition being treated and the sensitivity of an individual’s endocannibinoid system. For example, 20MG-33MG would be a reasonable starting dosage for a 200lb patient, while 15MG-25MG would be best for another who weighs 150lbs.
But taking one dose once is unlikely to have an effect. Plan to take CBD daily for two weeks, check in with how you feel, and adjust your dosage if you need more relief.
